Sports

 “A team that trains together, plays well together”

Students can choose from a wide range of sports electives according to aspiration and interest. The sports program provides students the opportunity to improve their fitness and to experience new and different sports, ranging from competitive to social, and from team to individual. All electives are semester based.

Interschool Sport

Interschool Sports competitions in the Moonee Valley Region run during Terms 1, 2 and 3. Finalists proceed to the Western Metropolitan Region. Students with outstanding sporting skills are able to qualify to play in the state teams. Students train weekly in preparation for the competitions. Dates of competitions are posted on Compass.

Term 1: swimming, tennis, badminton, volleyball
Term 2: football, soccer, basketball, cross country, netball
Term 3: basketball, table tennis

House Sports

The four houses compete in various sports including: athletics, cross country, dodgeball, soccer, swimming and tug of war.

Mount Alexander College is located where Flemington National School was established in 1858. The school, which has undergone many changes, has always served the community.
