Partnerships

Mount Alexander College has developed a number of partnerships to provide the students, families and staff with a wealth of resources.

Hotham Mission
Hotham Mission support VCAL students, provide lunch vouchers for financially disadvantaged students, provide families with weekly food parcels and in 2016 sponsored an iPad purchase program for students in financial need.

In2Science
In2science places university students into high schools as peer mentors to inspire students to pursue STEM studies at school and beyond. The In2Science program is funded by La Trobe University, RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, The University of Melbourne and Department of Education Victoria.

Bendigo Bank
We are very appreciative of the financial assistance from Bendigo Bank that enables our weekly Breakfast Club to run.

Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre
Flemington & Kensington Community Legal Centre provide services for students and parents, and run information sessions.

Moonee Valley Youth Services
Moonee Valley Youth Services run programs with our students including youth support, workshops and leisure activities. They also keep us informed of activities and services for youth in the area.

Ormond College
The University of Melbourne’s Ormond College students as students in Years 7-11 with homework and study skills. Year 12 students are matched with Ormond College tutors who help students to optimise their VCE performance.

Relationships Australia
Relationships Australia support our VCAL program and our health education program.

Rotary Club of Flemington
The Rotary Club of Flemington provides ongoing support to the school through scholarships for students. In 2017 Maddi Collis is going on exchange to Austria thanks to Rotary.

The Huddle
The Huddle at the North Melbourne Football Club facilitates and hosts a community based health program with our VCAL students. They also provide support and mentoring through their homework club.

Mount Alexander College is located where Flemington National School was established in 1858. The school, which has undergone many changes, has always served the community.
